Decade Two Begins

For one evening, we suppressed our innate New England frugalness to celebrate our tenth anniversary. A hearty and heartfelt thanks to the Blue Heron Restaurant for unrivaled victuals and cordials, flawless service, and elegant environs. Here’s to our next ten years of business—and to more reasons to celebrate.

Surly Surfer!

01.26.10

Check out the new Surly Brewing web site! This iPhone-friendly site gives users the low down on their favorite Surly beers. It features a bevy of videos, photos, news and blogs. For the socially-networked inclined, become a Surly Facebook friend, see what wet-hopping is, or follow the live Twitter and Flickr feeds. If you’re looking to get Surly (but haven’t downloaded the Get Surly app yet), use the Google-powered bar and store finder, and you’ll be feeling Furious in no time! And because its no fun drinking alone, we got a spot for the Surly Nation to share a beer (story). Finally, when its not enough feel Surly, check out the latest Swag (you might even recognize some of our models).

A Better, Healthier Y

Our very own Hampshire Regional YMCA celebrated the rebuilding of its facility with a wildly successful Open House in January. Over 500 people came by to enjoy food, music, games, and a chance to tour the areas that had been devastated by fire last summer. We’re proud to be doing marketing and PR for this organization that is truly a cornerstone of the community.

Happy New Beer!

Surly-Abrasive-Ale

We’ve just wrapped up the can design on the latest Surly offering, Surly Abrasive Ale. The Surly Nation has been eagerly awaiting this reincarnation of 16 Grit, an homage to Surly Brewing’s industrial heritage. If you live in Minnesota, you’ll be able to crack a fresh one sometime in late April. Since Beer News broke the story early, so we thought we’d share.
